It’s incredible what a sunny day does to my mood. People ask me all the time why I didn’t stay in Vancouver after moving there for a couple of years. There are a bunch of reasons and besides the cost of living being nonsense, the rain drives me crazy. Their incredulity grows when I say I would even prefer Calgary winters because there is very little precipitation. I would much rather have it be -20 and sunny every day, than 0 and not see the sun for a month because it’s just non-stop grey, dark and rainy. But that’s just me.
It might also help that I work at home and don’t have to leave my house every day if I don’t want to….Whatever gets you through the long winter!
