This week, I thought I’d film a super simple, everyday makeup for anyone who is interested in a pretty, but wearable/basic look. Basically, it was one of my go-to makeup looks from the summer, with two main points I wanted to share: how to get a nice base without foundation, and how to get a super flattering cat-eye liner look when you have super hooded eyes!
I’ve been investing in my skincare a lot recently, so much so that I’ve only worn foundation on rare occasions for almost a whole year. I never thought I could be so proud of my skin, and don’t get me wrong, I’m still sensitive about it (some days more than others), but many of my texture woes are under control now.
Additionally, I started doing my cateye liner in a different way than I used to and I find it works soooo much better for me, not only in terms of ease of execution, but in the overall finished look. I would like to point out, I don’t think I was the one to necessarily invent this technique, but for some reason, I never really tried it this way before, so it’s new and revolutionary to me! And I specifically always use a liquid liner with a thin tip, because I find that’s what works best for me.
So let me know what you think of my everyday makeup routine! As always, I’d love to hear your feedback on my videos, since I don’t generally do videos on the blog. It’s a super basic setup, just in my room, using the natural light from the window and my phone. If you’re into it, I can definitely do more!
xoxo
