Pink lippies are another go-to of mine for summer. Along with corals, I think they are the perfect splash of colour and brightness in any summer makeup look. They are fun, flirty, girly, and practically the soul mate of any cute sundress or romper.
I tend to gravitate towards the bolder, warm pinks because I feel like that is what compliments my skin tone the best (light-medium yellow-toned, by the way). The Maybelline and Ciate London are very similar, but the Maybelline is way more moisturizing and leaves a bit of a sheen on the lips. The Ciate London is matte all the way, although not transfer-proof. I have a love-hate relationship with the Ciate London Liquid Velvets. I think their colour range is the best of any liquid lipstick line I’ve ever tried, but their formula is a bit streaky and it will still transfer. But look at it! How can I not forgive it? So pretty…
The Bite Beauty lip crayon is another one of those creamy formulas that leaves a bit of a sheen on the lips. It seems like it would be warm-toned in the tube, but it pulls a bit cool on me. This is the one that’s closest to a Barbie pink I think. And finally, the cool-toned wonder that stole my heart. I am not kidding when I say I much prefer warm-toned lip colours so imagine my surprise when I saw this Lancome beauty for the first time on someone else and became obsessed. The Lancome Lip Lover line is my favourite lip gloss of all time I think. It’s like a smooth gel that feels amazing on your lips, it’s not sticky, it’s super pigmented and lasts a super long time for a gloss. I just love it!
