You’ve probably noticed a thing or two about this look. One, my love affair with pink is still hot and heavy. It’ll probably fizzle by the fall. Two, when I say florals are my jam, I’m not kidding. Florals all day and night, please!
I’ve taken a casual adult ballet class or two in my day and despite my lack of coordination and flexibility, it’s a good time. I have such an appreciation for how difficult good ballet technique is and wish I would have had the chance to learn it when I was younger aka, when it’s so much easier to absorb these things like a sponge.
When I used to work in an office, I used to keep a pair of ballet slippers in my cabinet drawer to change into during winter, so I didn’t have to wear my snow boots indoors all day long! I always wished I could wear ballet slippers in the street just as regular shoes, but they don’t have much in the way of soles. Much to my surprise and pleasure, one of this season’s biggest footwear trends was all about the ballet-inspired flats complete with lace-up ankle ties. As soon as I saw this pair, I scooped it up and knew it would be the soulmate companion piece to my favourite flouncy pink romper. Now I’m ready to plié at any ol’ street corner.
What do you think about this footwear trend? Yay or nay?

Your shoes are so cute! Usually I don’t like lace up shoes, but these ones totally work. 😍
I know right? I love them!
