Summer in Montreal has always been THE season to me. I would plan my trips around the summer because I didn’t want to miss all the long, sunny days, the BBQs, the flowers, the bike riding. I feel like this year, I’ve made a conscious effort to rediscover the autumn season. There’s so much to see in Quebec. We are one of the luckiest places on Earth that boasts the most spectacular fall colours.
And we’ve had unseasonable warm weather this fall, so on days when I don’t have a lot of work, I like to bike around or go for walks, and just look up at the gently swaying trees against the cloud-riddled sky. There’s something about an autumn sky that is just breathtaking.
If you happen to be in Montreal, the botanical gardens will be showing the annual lanterns until the end of the month. I’ll take any excuse to meander around the gardens, but the lanterns are always fun. What are some of your favourite things to do in Montreal during the fall season?
