Top – Zara (old, but this is similar)
Skirt – Modcloth (old, but this is similar)
Shoes – Le Chateau (old)
Clutch – Zara (old)
This is one of my favourite getups, for obvious reasons. Bright colours? Check. Floral print? Check. Twirly skirt? Check. Pops of red? Check. I think this pretty much embodies spring for me. This and all the tulips around town that, unfortunately, have just about called it quits for the season.
This skirt is probably my favourite Modcloth purchase ever. I don’t think they sell it anymore, which is a shame, because not only is it so beautiful and unique, but everything about the design is so flattering. And this is coming from a shorty McShortster with short legs that often look even shorter in midi skirts.
But body types be damned! Midi skirts are my favourite length. And this one cinches beautifully at the waist, hiding all my problem areas, and flows out almost into a flare. It’s heavy but not stiff, practically dances when you move… This skirt makes me feel 6 feet tall. (Side note: I think it’s meant to be knee-length and it just ends up being midi-length on me ’cause I’m so short…)
This is definitely going to have a spot in my closet for years to come. I’ll probably wear it into until it literally starts falling apart, like my old favourite piece that finally went up to the big closet in the sky after around nine years of wear…
RIP red floral dress. I think of you often.
Ahem… On a less sad/weird note… What are some of your favourite spring pieces?
xoxo
