Speaking of experimenting with fashion again, what do we think of 1) layering short sleeve tops over sweaters/long sleeves? 2) these tops with bows in the front? (I wasn't a fan of these tops until this layering idea) I'm really excited about the layering though! I wasn't looking forward to wearing the same six sweatshirts and sweaters for the next 5 months, but this changes everything! I'm not saying this look is a slam dunk and I love it, but I'm excited to try new things and get dressed now 😁

I'm really liking the idea of doing a garden tour

I'm really liking the idea of doing a garden tour every month, even when it seems like there's not much going on. Is that something anyone would be interested in? The showstopper in November is definitely the Japanese maples 🍁🍁🍁 (Bloodgood and Fireglow) with an honorable mention going to the heuchera and brunnera. They still look so full of life! Even the roses might keep going until it starts snowing. In other news, my poor gnome holding a birdbath met an unfortunate end (slippery hands 😭) and I dug up all the dusty miller and repotted them in the greenhouse. I'm seeing if they'll survive till next year because traditionally, they last well into the winter for me. And finally, all my garden buddies are tucked away in the greenhouse where they can keep a watchful eye on the garden all winter 🥰🥰🥰

For the past couple of years, I couldn't really re

For the past couple of years, I couldn't really relate to the way fashion was evolving. I couldn't get into the new styles and what's typically available at most stores, and I didn't feel like my old style completely reflected who I had become. I honestly believed that fashion just wasn't for me anymore. I thought maybe it was a North American fashion thing 🤷🏻‍♀️ But I was in Geneva and Lyon this summer, and I felt the same. Then I got to Paris and it's kind of cliched, but I felt fashion speaking to me again! This outfit is from Paris, and it's not trendy (and gives granny trying to be hip with the kids???) but I love it 🥰 All this to say, I'm inspired and excited to try new things and experiment with my style again. Thanks Paris, I guess???
